Paul Scholes explains why Man United fans should be very positive
Paul Scholes has his say after Manchester United's dominant 4-0 win over Feyenoord on Thursday
Paul Scholes claimed that Manchester United fans have plenty to be positive about after the Red Devils’ 4-0 win over Feyenoord on Thursday night in the Europa League.
The Red Devils took a step closer towards reaching the knockout phase of the Europa League after a dominant win in front of their home fans at Old Trafford.
Goals from Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard added to Brad Jones’ own goal as Jose Mourinho’s men produced an impressive display.
And former Manchester United midfielder Scholes feels that the Red Devils can be positive with how things are going under new boss Mourinho.
Speaking on BT Sport after the final whistle, Scholes said: “It has been coming for the past three or four weeks.
“They have been very good and they have been very attacking but they probably haven’t got the results that they deserved. It all seemed to come together tonight.
“OK, Sergio Romero made a couple of good saves, but other than that Manchester United were totally dominant.”
United need a point from their remaining group game against Zorya to progress.
Manchester United will now look to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they host West Ham United at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
The Red Devils were held to a 1-1 draw by Arsenal in their most recent top-flight outing last weekend.
