Paul Scholes: Marcus Rashford must learn from this Man United star
Paul Scholes is backing Manchester United's decision to give Zlatan Ibrahimovic another season at the club
Paul Scholes has backed Manchester United’s decision to give Zlatan Ibrahimovic another season at the club.
The Swedish striker is expected to stay at Old Trafford until the end of the 2017-18 season after joining the Red Devils from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer back in the summer.
Ibrahimovic has been a regular fixture in the Manchester United team and has started most of the Red Devils’ games under Jose Mourinho.
Scholes believes that it would be wise to keep the veteran striker at the club beyond the end of this season.
And the former Manchester United midfielder believes that Marcus Rashford should be doing all he can to learn from the 35-year-old this term.
Speaking on BT Sport on Thursday night, Scholes said: “I think so [it’s a good decision for Ibrahimovic to stay].
“He’s an athlete, a fit lad and I think it will be good to have him around the place, for someone like Marcus Rashford to learn from.”
Manchester United return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon with a home clash against West Ham United in the top flight at Old Trafford.
