Paul Scholes reacts to Man United’s 4-0 win over Feyenoord

The Manchester United legend is full of praise of Jose Mourinho's players

Paul Scholes praised Manchester United’s good attacking performance after their 4-0 win against Feyenoord on Thursday night.

Wayne Rooney combined with Zlatan Ibrahimovic to break the deadlock in the 35th minute at Old Trafford to calm nerves after their 2-1 loss to Fenerbahce last time out.

Spain international Juan Mata doubled the advantage in the second half after Ibrahimovic and Rooney combined to tee up the former Valencia midfielder in the 69th minute.

Ex Liverpool goalkeeper Brad Jones put the ball into his own net to give the home side a three-goal lead after more good work from summer signing Ibrahimovic.

And Jesse Lingard scored for the second time in Europe to make it 4-0 and seal their biggest victory under Jose Mourinho.

Manchester United legend Scholes praised the home side’s performance after their penultimate Europa League game.

“They were well worthy of a win. They could have four, five or even six. It was nice to see some really good attacking football,” Scholes told BT Sport.

Manchester United will host West Ham United in their next Premier League game at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils drew 1-1 with title rivals Arsenal in the top flight last weekend.

Mourinho’s side are in sixth place in the Premier League table and nine points behind Chelsea.
