Petr Cech admits Arsenal are not pleased about this at all
Petr Cech comments on Arsenal's 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Saturday afternoon
Petr Cech has admitted that he and his Arsenal team-mates were not pleased about their performance in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
Arsene Wenger’s men failed to really click into gear at Old Trafford as they struggled to get into the game against the Red Devils.
It was United who deservedly took the lead in the 68th minute when Juan Mata drilled home his low shot to put the Red Devils in front.
However, Arsenal had the final say when Olivier Giroud came off the bench to head home an equaliser to earn the Gunners what many felt was an undeserved point.
United grew into the game and dominated proceedings for much of the second half.
And Arsenal goalkeeper Cech admitted that he and his team-mates were disappointed by their performance against Jose Mourinho’s men at Old Trafford.
Speaking in an interview with Arsenal’s website, Cech said: “Obviously we are not pleased with the performance but we have to take the point because we were losing and we equalised with three minutes to go.
“It was a great action and I thought maybe we deserved a little bit of credit for scoring the goal because as I said it was not our best performance and anyway we managed to get a result in a big game.
“We keep our unbeaten run going and that’s positive, but obviously we would’ve liked to win.”
Arsenal return to Champions League action on Wednesday night with a home clash against Paris Saint-Germain at The Emirates.
