Cesc Fabregas is working hard on his fitness as he bids to break back into the Chelsea first team
Cesc Fabregas appears to be working hard to prove himself as worthy of a starting spot in the Chelsea first team.
The midfielder was once again overlooked by Spain during the international break following a frustrating start to the season for the 29-year-old.
Fabregas has been limited to just one start in the Premier League for the Blues so far this season, and has only featured three times as a substitute.
The former Arsenal captain’s lack of playing time has inevitably sparked reports that his future at Chelsea may be under consideration.
However, the midfielder seems to be focused on proving himself to new manager Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge, if his latest post on social media is anything to go by.
Fabregas posted the picture above on himself in training action with summer signing Marcos Alonso at the club’s Cobham base on Friday morning on Instagram.
Fabregas wrote the caption: “Gym 💪🏼”
Chelsea return to action after the international break with a trip to Middlesbrough.
