Jan Vertonghen has taken to social media to congratulate Harry Winks after the youngster marked his first Premier League start for Tottenham with a goal in the 3-2 win over West Ham United on Saturday.

Tottenham twice fell behind to their bitter London rivals but Harry Kane’s brilliant brace at the death earned Spurs a point and preserved their unbeaten run.

Winks, 20, marked his first Premier League start for Tottenham with a goal and Spurs defender Vertonghen was full of praise for the youngster after the game.

Vertonghen posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account on Saturday after the game and wrote the caption: “Incredible game! Never gave up. Congrats to @harrywinks_ on your goal big man #COYS 👍”

Tottenham Hotspur are the only remaining unbeaten team in the Premier League, with Mauricio Pochettino’s men yet to lose after 12 games in the top flight this term.

Spurs are currently fifth in the Premier League table after finishing third in the top flight last season.
