Dejan Lovren has his say on Liverpool's goalless draw with Southampton at St Mary's

Dejan Lovren spoke of his disappointment after Liverpool were forced to settle for a point at Southampton on Saturday afternoon.

The Reds were unable to net a winner at St Mary’s despite Jurgen Klopp’s side registering 15 shots on Fraser Forster’s goal.

Liverpool managed to keep just their second clean sheet of the season as the Merseyside club extended their unbeaten run to 10 games.

Klopp’s side haven’t lost a Premier League game since a 2-0 loss to Burnley at Turf Moor in their second game of the 2016-17 season.

Lovren posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption upon his return to his former club:

“Disappointed that we did not take more than a point, a lot of opportunities we had today, but that’s football. 😏Thanks to the fans for the support…#ynwa”

Liverpool are the Premier League’s leading goal-scorers after a return of 30 goals in 12 top-flight games so far this season.

The Reds finished in eighth place in the Premier League table last season after Klopp took over the reins from Brendan Rodgers back in October 2015.

The Merseyside outfit finished in runners-up spot in 2009 and 2014.
