Mesut Ozil appeared to suggest Arsenal were lucky to rescue a point at Old Trafford after their 1-1 draw with Manchester United.

The Gunners appeared to heading for a second Premier League defeat of the 2016-17 season after Juan Mata made the breakthrough in the 69th minute at the Theatre of Dreams.

Arsene Wenger brought on Olivier Giroud and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in search of an equaliser with 17 minutes remaining of the Premier League’s early clash on Saturday.

Oxlade-Chamberlain crossed for Giroud and the France striker levelled with 90 seconds remaining at Old Trafford to salvage a point which maintains their six-point advantage over Manchester United.

And Ozil posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption following Arsenal’s 1-1 draw at Manchester United:

“Lucky punch! 👊 Not our best performance this season but a crucial point for us! #MUFCvAFC #COYG #OldTrafford @arsenal @premierleague”

Arsenal haven’t lost a Premier League game since a 4-3 loss to title rivals Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium in their first Premier League game of the campaign.
