The Arsenal striker reflects on the north London side's 1-1 draw at Manchester United
Olivier Giroud hailed Arsenal’s “strong character” after their 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
The Gunners appeared to be heading for their first Premier League defeat at the home of their bitter rivals since a 4-3 loss to Liverpool in their opening game of the 2016-17 season.
Juan Mata broke the deadlock in the 69th minute after the Spain international combined with Ander Herrera to unlock the Arsenal defence.
Arsene Wenger brought on Giroud and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with 17 minutes remaining and the pair combined to net a late equaliser.
The England international’s cross found Giroud and the Arsenal star powered a header past Manchester United shot stopper David De Gea.
And Giroud has taken to Twitter on Sunday afternoon to reflect on Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with the Red Devils in the Premier League title race.
