Sadio Mane has taken to social media to wish Philippe Coutinho all the best after the Liverpool playmaker suffered an ankle injury during the 2-0 win over Sunderland at the weekend.

Coutinho was carried off on a stretcher in the first half of the Premier League clash at Anfield after sustaining suspected ankle ligament damage.

The Brazilian playmaker was pictured on crutches on Monday, and although Liverpool are yet to confirm the exact extent of the problem, Coutinho is expected to be out of action for some time.

Mane, who signed for Liverpool in the summer transfer window from Southampton, used his personal Instagram account to wish Coutinho all the best after his setback at the weekend.

Mane posted the photo above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Wish you a Quick recovery @phil.coutinho 🙏 And Come Back stronger.”
