Sir Alex Ferguson was in the stands to see Manchester United's 1-1 draw with Arsenal at Old Trafford

Sir Alex Ferguson did not look to be too impressed as he watched Manchester United be pegged back and held to a 1-1 draw by Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday lunchtime.

The Red Devils dominated proceedings for much of the game as the Gunners failed to click into gear against their old foes.

Juan Mata gave the home side the lead in the 68th minute when he drilled home a low shot to put Jose Mourinho’s men deservedly in front.

However, Arsenal had the final say in the game when Olivier Giroud came off the bench to head home an equaliser and earn a point for Arsene Wenger’s men at Old Trafford.

The result was a frustrating one for Red Devils fans, given the way in which they dominated the game against their rivals.

And former United boss Ferguson was in the stands to see the clash between the two old rivals.
