Wayne Rooney and Bastian Schweinsteiger were all smiles during Manchester United’s training session on Wednesday morning ahead of the visit of Feyenoord in the Europa League.
The Red Devils captain will be hoping to put a controversial international break behind him if the Manchester United striker is handed some game time against the Dutch side.
Rooney equalled Ruud van Nistelrooy’s club-record tally of 37 European goals when the 30-year-old scored a late consolation in a 2-1 loss to Fenerbahce in Turkey in their last European outing.
Schweinsteiger, meanwhile, is still waiting to make his first appearance in a Manchester United shirt this season after being out-of-favour since Jose Mourinho’s appointment.
