Piers Morgan: Why I’d prefer Jose Mourinho as Arsenal manager

The outspoken Arsenal supporter believes Jose Mourinho would do a better job as Gunners manager than Arsene Wenger

Piers Morgan has revealed that he would prefer Jose Mourinho ahead of Arsene Wenger as Arsenal manager.

The Gunners failed to seize their chance to hoist themselves to the top of the Premier League table ahead of Saturday’s remaining fixtures.

Spain internationals Ander Herrera and Juan Mata combined to make the breakthrough in the 69th minute as the former Chelsea man placed a finish past his ex Blues team-mate Petr Cech in the Arsenal goal.

Wenger introduced Olivier Giroud and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from the bench in the 73rd minute and his substitutions were responsible for the north London side’s late equaliser.

The England midfielder’s cross found Giroud in the Manchester United area and the French striker powered a header past David De Gea with less than 90 seconds remaining of normal time.

Mourinho has won three Premier League titles during two spells with Chelsea since Arsene Wenger’s Invincibles side won the top-flight crown in 2004.

Outspoken Arsenal shareholder Morgan explained to one Twitter user why he’d opt for Mourinho ahead of Wenger.
