Reported Man United transfer target would prefer Arsenal move – report
David Alaba would prefer to seal a transfer to Arsenal than Manchester United, according to reports in England
David Alaba would favour a transfer to Arsenal ahead of Manchester United, according to reports in the British media.
The Manchester Evening News is reporting that Austria international Alaba is a boyhood Arsenal fan and would prefer to join up with the Gunners should a move to the Premier League be on the cards.
Manchester United have been touted as a possible destination for Alaba in recent days as Jose Mourinho considers bolstering his Red Devils squad following his appointment in the summer.
Alaba signed a new contract with Bayern Munich earlier this year, a deal which is thought to run until 2021.
The same story in The Manchester Evening News reports that Alaba is valued at around £34m by the German club.
Speculation surrounding potential transfer targets for Manchester United is inevitably set to gather pace in the coming weeks as the January transfer window approaches.
The Red Devils made four key signings – Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the summer transfer window following Mourinho’s appointment as Louis van Gaal’s successor.
