Robbie Savage delivers honest verdict on Tottenham’s title chances
The former Leicester City midfielder plays down Tottenham Hotspur's chances of winning the Premier League title
Robbie Savage has poured cold water on talk of Tottenham Hotspur winning the Premier League title.
West Ham defender Michail Anotonio broke the deadlock in the first half at White Hart Lane before Spurs forward Harry Winks levelled after half-time.
Manuel Lanzini’s penalty handed the Hammers a 2-1 lead before Harry Kane scored twice in the dying moments of the game to secure three points for the north London side.
Kane has netted three goals in two Premier League games since the England international returned to the Tottenham side from an ankle injury earlier this month.
Tottenham are in fifth place in the top-flight table and five points adrift of Premier League leaders Liverpool in the title race.
Asked whether Tottenham could win the Premier League title this season, Savage told BBC Radio Five Live’s 606 show:
“I think Spurs can win the Premier League but they won’t.”
