Santi Cazorla has suggested that he will not be ready for Arsenal’s trip to Manchester United this weekend.

The Spanish playmaker has been out of action since picking up a knock during the 6-0 victory over Ludogorets in the Champions League back in October.

The Achilles injury has kept him out of action since then but the playmaker has been working on his fitness levels at Arsenal’s training ground in recent weeks.

Arsenal travel to Manchester United on Saturday lunchtime before their Champions League clash with PSG next week.

And Cazorla refused to put a date on his possible return to action as he looks to get back fit as soon as possible.

Speaking in an interview with Cadena Cope, Cazorla said: “Well, I still don’t know the exact time. I am trying to return as soon as soon as possible to be with the team again but I cannot say if it will be soon or if I still have a few weeks left. It is what I do not know but hopefully it will be as soon as possible.”

Arsenal head into their clash with Manchester United trailing Premier League leaders Liverpool by two points after 11 games.
