Sergio Aguero: This Chelsea man is one of my toughest opponents
Sergio Aguero admits that he has struggled against John Terry in the past...
Sergio Aguero has revealed that facing John Terry has been one of the toughest tests of his career on the pitch with Manchester City.
Terry has earned a reputation as one of the Premier League’s top defenders at Stamford Bridge and is widely regarded to be one of the top flight’s most consistently impressive centre-halves.
The Chelsea captain is now approaching the twilight years of his career and has found his first-team opportunities at Stamford Bridge few and far between this season under new boss Antonio Conte.
However, Manchester City star Aguero has described Terry as one of the toughest defensive players that he has ever come up against.
Manchester City striker Aguero is quoted as saying by The Daily Express: “Nowadays it’s difficult to choose!
“The most difficult I’ve faced would be (Sergio) Ramos, another one would be (John) Terry, and I can also name a goalkeeper, (Iker) Casillas.”
Blues captain Terry will be hoping to be involved when Chelsea return to Premier League action on Saturday night with a crunch clash against bitter local rivals Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are currently top of the Premier League table.
