Thierry Henry delivers honest verdict on Man United after Arsenal draw
Thierry Henry delivers his assessment on Arsenal's 1-1 draw at Manchester United on Saturday
Thierry Henry has admitted that Manchester United were unlucky to concede a late goal in their 1-1 draw with Arsenal on Saturday.
The Red Devils were in control for much of the game at Old Trafford and looked to be heading towards victory when Juan Mata drilled home an opener in the 68th minute.
However, it was the Gunners who had the final say, when Olivier Giroud came off the bench and headed in Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s cross to earn a point for the north London side.
It ended up being a frustrating end to what was a largely positive afternoon for Jose Mourinho’s men.
And Arsenal legend Henry conceded that United probably deserved more from the game at Old Trafford.
Speaking on Sky Sports after the final whistle, Henry said: “It would have been a huge win for United. They would have been back in contact with the top four.
“That last goal from Giroud changed everything. I thought they were very unfortunate to concede that goal at the end, although it was a good goal. That was the first shot on target from Arsenal.”
