Thierry Henry: Things are different when this Arsenal star plays
Thierry Henry admits that Arsenal have been missing Santi Cazorla in recent weeks
Thierry Henry believes that Santi Cazorla is a big miss in the Arsenal team.
The Spanish playmaker has been out of action since suffering an injury in the Champions League clash with Ludogorets.
Cazorla is usually a regular fixture in central midfield for Arsene Wenger’s men and his absence has been felt by the Gunners in recent weeks.
And Arsenal legend Henry has talked up the importance of the Spanish playmaker to the Gunners during his current spell on the sidelines.
Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Bournemouth at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon, Henry said: “[They miss Cazorla] a lot.
“There is always that debate – is that Coquelin-Cazorla partnership good enough to win the league?
“When Santi is not playing, Mesut Ozil starts to come too deep to get the ball and you don’t have that guy who can pass the ball in between the lines.
“It is different when Santi is not around.”
Arsenal will be hoping that Cazorla will be back available for them in the coming weeks as the hectic festive period in the Premier League looms large.
The north London side now turn their attentions towards their League Cup clash against Southampton at The Emirates on Wednesday night as they look to reach the semi-finals.
