Michael Essien has taken to social media to reveal that he has been training at Chelsea’s Cobham base in recent days.

The Ghanian midfielder has been without a club since being released by Greek side Panathinaikos in the summer.

However, the 33-year-old has been making sure that he is in top physical shape as he continues his search for a new club before the January transfer window.

Essien posted the video of himself above using an exercise bike on his personal Instagram account on Thursday afternoon and wrote the caption: “Let’s gooo🚴🏿🚴🏿🚴🏿”

Chelsea are currently gearing up for their crunch Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge on Saturday night.

The Blues head into the game in top spot in the Premier League table, one point ahead of Liverpool after 12 games of the new season.
