Watch: David Luiz issues support for Chelsea outcasts ahead of Tottenham clash
David Luiz watches Chelsea's Reserves side ease to a 3-2 victory over Southampton on Monday afternoon
David Luiz showed his support for Chelsea’s out-of-favour stars as Antonio Conte’s development squad eased to a 3-2 win against Southampton at their Cobham training facility on Monday afternoon.
Summer signing Michy Batshuayi, Spain international Cesc Fabregas, Dutch midfielder Marco van Ginkel and Blues captain John Terry were all part of Chelsea’s second-string side.
The former Marseille striker and the ex Stoke City midfielder got on the score sheet in a 3-2 win in a performance that they will hope caught the eye of Chelsea boss Conte.
Brazil international Luiz was certainly impressed as he cheered on his Chelsea team-mates before kick-off.
Luiz posted the above clip on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:
“Come on Chelsea!”
