Adam Lallana: How Jurgen Klopp can compensate for Liverpool inexperience

The Liverpool midfielder believes Jurgen Klopp has the necessary experience to guide the Reds to the title

Adam Lallana believes Jurgen Klopp can compensate for Liverpool’s inexperience in the Premier League title race.

The Liverpool boss led Borussia Dortmund to successive Bundesliga titles in the 2011 and 2012 seasons.

The Reds, on the other hand, have failed to win the Premier League crown despite finishing in second place in 2002, 2009 and 2014.

Lallana wasn’t part of Brendan Rodgers’ side that finished as Premier League runners-up behind Manchester City in the 2013-14 season.

Klopp led the Reds to an eighth-place finish in his first season in the Premier League after his appointment as Rodgers’ successor back in October 2015.

Liverpool midfielder Lallana believes Klopp holds the key to the Merseyside outfit’s title hopes as the Reds look to keep pace with Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City.

“Of course there’s an inexperience in our team of winning league titles but one thing that will help us is the manager,” Lallana told Sky Sports.

“He’s experienced and has won the league with Dortmund, he’s been to the Champions League final. If we trust him, we will be successful.”

Liverpool signed seven players in the summer transfer window as Klopp looked to transform the Merseyside outfit into title contenders.
