Adam Lallana’s response to reports PSG want Liverpool midfielder
The Liverpool midfielder insists he is happy at the Merseyside club despite reported interest from Ligue 1 giants PSG
Adam Lallana insists his long-term future is at Liverpool despite admitting that Paris Saint-Germain’s interest is flattering.
The Sun reported that the Ligue 1 giants were preparing a £40m offer for the England international ahead of the January transfer window.
Lallana has been one of Jurgen Klopp’s standout players in the Premier League this season after a return of five goals and three assists.
The England midfielder has been in sparkling form since Klopp took over the Anfield reins from Brendan Rodgers back in October 2015.
And Lallana is looking forward to his future at the Merseyside outfit under Klopp despite interest from the Ligue 1 champions.
“I love it here at the minute, especially since the manager has come in. We have each other’s trust and you don’t always get that at clubs,” Lallana told Sky Sports.
“The thought of leaving Liverpool has never entered my mind.
“It’s a great compliment to be spoken of in the same breath as a club like PSG with those sorts of numbers, but I’m absolutely loving my football at the minute under this boss and I can only see myself being here for the long term.”
Lallana moved to Liverpool in a £25m deal from Southampton in the 2014 summer transfer window.
The England playmaker’s best return in the Premier League came in the 2013-14 season when he scored nine times in 38 games.
