Agent confirms Man United and Chelsea want to sign midfielder
Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie's agent has claimed that Manchester United and Chelsea are interested in signing the 20-year-old
Manchester United and Chelsea are among the Premier League club’s interested in signing Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie, according to the player’s agent.
There is bound to be plenty of speculation linking the Premier League’s top clubs with a host of players once the January transfer window opens.
The 20-year-old Kessie is an Ivory Coast team-mate of Manchester United summer signing Eric Bailly and has been named in his national team’s squad for the Africa Cup of Nations alongside the Red Devils defender.
Now, Kessie’s agent, George Atangana, has claimed that there is interest from Chelsea and a number of other Premier League clubs in signing the highly-rated midfielder.
Atangana is quoted as saying by The Manchester Evening News: “We have a lot of interest from the Premier League. Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal.
“I cannot say at this stage how much he will cost but we are talking about one of the best young players in the world.
“But for us the most important thing is that the technical project is the right one for him. Franck is very, young so we have to be very careful about his development.”
Manchester United are currently getting used to life under new manager Jose Mourinho following the Portuguese coach’s appointment at Old Trafford back in May.
Mourinho moved to sign Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba in the summer transfer window following his arrival at the club.
