Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain compares Alexis Sanchez to Sergio Aguero following Arsenal's 5-1 win at West Ham
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has compared Alexis Sanchez to Sergio Aguero following the Chilean’s stunning form for Arsenal.
The forward continued his fine form for the north London club when he scored a second-half hat-trick in the Gunners’ thumping 5-1 win over West Ham at the London Stadium on Saturday night.
Sanchez is continuing to prove himself as an indispensable asset for the Gunners, with the attacker already having scored 11 goals and made four assists in the Premier League for Arsenal this season.
Oxlade-Chamberlain was clearly thrilled by Sanchez’s stunning display against the Hammers and compared him to Argentina star Aguero after the game.
Speaking to BT Sport, Oxlade-Chamberlain said: “Alexis Sanchez was brilliant, he gives you that speed in behind opposing defences.
“He’s like Sergio Aguero in many ways.
Sanchez will be hoping to feature for Arsenal when the Gunners play their final Champions League group game against FC Basel on Tuesday night.
“You get balls up to him and he can just make things happen. He’s an amazing player and it’s great to have in the team.
“We are good on the counter attack and Mesut Ozil and Alexis are the first to turn and go in behind.”
Saturday’s win at West Ham left Arsenal three points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea after 14 games of the season.
