Alexis Sanchez: My thoughts on living in London with Arsenal

Alexis Sanchez reveals that he enjoys living in London but prefers to relax at home during his time off

Alexis Sanchez has revealed that he enjoys living in London but prefers to unwind at home rather than explore the English capital.

The Arsenal forward has earned a reputation as one of the Premier League’s standout performers since his arrival at the club from Barcelona in the summer of 2014.

Sanchez has been a regular fixture in the Arsenal team since his arrival at the club and has developed into one of the Premier League’s top attacking players.

The 28-year-old is believed to currently be in talks with Arsenal about the possibility of extending his contract with the north London club beyond the summer of 2018.

Arsenal fans, therefore, are likely to be keen to hear Sanchez’s thoughts on living in London and what he gets up to when not playing for the Gunners.

And the Chile international has lifted the lid on the way that he likes to spend his downtime in the English capital.

Speaking in an interview with Arsenal’s website, Sanchez said: “I like to go to London to eat something or have a drink with my friends. However, I am a very home-loving person and I spend a lot of time at home.

“I do explore the city if I have the time for it but normally I would rather stay relaxed at home.

“London can be a stressful place because it´s crowded and it´s a big city.

“Our routines as footballers can be energy-consuming too. You play one game after another, meet new people every day and travel a lot. That is why I try to disconnect and relax as soon as I get some time off.”

Sanchez will be expecting to feature for Arsenal when the Gunners host West Brom in the Premier League on Boxing Day.
