Anthony Martial: This Man United star is a top player, I’m learning from him

Anthony Martial is learning a lot by playing alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic for Manchester United

Anthony Martial has revealed that he has been learning a lot by playing and training with Zlatan Ibrahimovic for Manchester United.

The Red Devils brought the veteran striker to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window on a free from Paris Saint-Germain and the forward has been a regular fixture in Jose Mourinho’s starting line-up.

Ibrahimovic has scored 11 Premier League goals in the top flight for Mourinho’s men to help them challenge for a top-four finish.

The 35-year-old appears to have had no problems in adapting to the rigours of the Premier League following his summer switch from PSG.

Martial’s game-time this season may have been somewhat more restricted by Ibrahimovic’s constant presence in the Manchester United first team.

However, the France international says that he is happy to learn from the veteran striker as he looks to improve his own game.

Speaking in an interview with Manchester United’s website, Martial said: “He is a top player and we can’t help but learn from just being alongside him, playing and training with him, seeing what he is doing now and what he has done in the past.

“In spite of his age, he has been a tremendous help to our side; he is doing loads for us. Let’s hope his form can continue because that is going to help us to climb the table, which is our goal.”
