Antonio Conte delivers latest Chelsea injury update on Eden Hazard ahead of Bournemouth clash
Antonio Conte declares Eden Hazard as fit for Chelsea's clash with Bournemouth on Boxing Day
Antonio Conte has declared Eden Hazard fit for Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Bournemouth on Boxing Day.
The Belgian playmaker sat out the win over Sunderland with a minor problem as Chelsea continued their fine form in the Premier League.
However, the 25-year-old returned to the starting line-up for Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace last weekend as the west London side maintained their place at the top of the Premier League table.
Conte, speaking to the media at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground on Thursday morning, revealed that Hazard is fit to feature against Bournemouth on Boxing Day, and said that only captain John Terry will be missing through injury.
Asked if Hazard is injured, Conte told the news conference: “Hazard? No, no, no, no.
“We are in good shape, all the players are fit.
“We have had no new injuries. Everyone is available. But not John Terry.”
Chelsea will, however, be without both Diego Costa and N’Golo Kante for the visit of the Cherries to Stamford Bridge due to suspension.
The Blues have won their last 11 games in the Premier League on the bounce.
