Antonio Conte drops hint about Chelsea plans for the January transfer window
Antonio Conte appears to suggest that he is keen to bolster his Chelsea squad in the January transfer window
Antonio Conte has hinted that Chelsea could be set to dip into the January transfer market in the new year.
The Blues have made a stunning start to life under their new manager following his appointment as the club’s new boss over the summer.
Chelsea have won their last 11 games in a row in the Premier League to leave them firmly in the driving seat to win the title this season.
Conte brought in a number of players over the summer but there is bound to be plenty of speculation about potential new recruits in the January window.
And the Chelsea boss has suggested that he is on the lookout for reinforcements as he bids to strengthen the Blues’ hopes of winning the title.
Speaking to Chelsea’s website, Conte said: “We must be very pleased for the achievement we have reached now, but it is logical that I look with my club for a solution to arrive in a good position at the end of the season.
“I don’t know what will happen in January but in this situation it is important to talk with my club – we have a fantastic relationship – but I have my idea and I prefer to discuss this with the club.”
Chelsea finished in 10th place in the Premier League last season and without a trophy after a campaign to forget.
Conte is now preparing his Chelsea team for their home clash against Bournemouth on Boxing Day.
