Antonio Conte reveals Chelsea’s plans for Christmas Day

Antonio Conte reveals that Chelsea will treat Christmas Day like any normal build-up to a Premier League game

Antonio Conte has revealed that Chelsea will treat Christmas Day in exactly the same way as the build-up to any normal Premier League game.

The Blues are flying high at the top of the table after they secured their 11th straight win in the Premier League with a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.

Chelsea will be without both Diego Costa and N’Golo Kante for their Boxing Day clash against Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge due to suspension.

The Blues will train on Christmas Day ahead of their home clash against the Cherries in west London.

And Conte has lifted the lid on Chelsea’s specific plans for the day as they prepare for their first game in the hectic festive period.

Conte told Chelsea’s website: “On Christmas Day the players will stay together like the normal situation before a game.

“We’ll have a dinner in the hotel at nine o’clock, then we sleep, and the next day we will play the game when we hope to continue to win.

“Now we have a good pressure – after 11 wins we have positive pressure that we want to continue to win.”
