Antonio Conte reveals his plans for Chelsea training over the hectic festive period in the Premier League

Antonio Conte has confirmed that Chelsea will definitely have a training session on Christmas Day this year.

The Italian manager is currently getting used to life in the Premier League following his appointment as the club’s new boss over the summer.

Conte is preparing for his first taste of the hectic festive period in England as he continues in his first season in the Premier League.

Chelsea are due to face Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day as the Blues look to continue their Premier League title bid.

And Conte has confirmed that Chelsea will hold a training session on Christmas Day, but admits he has not yet decided on the timing of it.

Speaking at a news conference on Tuesday morning at Cobham, Conte said: “It is important to plan training sessions but also to see how things go because you can make changes for various reasons.

“The players will definitely train on Christmas Day, for sure, but it could be either in the morning or the afternoon.”
