Ashley Cole reacts to Diego Costa’s display in Chelsea’s 1-0 win at Palace

Ashley Cole was very impressed by Diego Costa's performance for Chelsea against Crystal Palace on Saturday

Ashley Cole was impressed by Diego Costa’s performance as Chelsea secured a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday to continue their fine run of form in the Premier League.

The Spanish striker scored the only goal of the game just before half-time at Selhurst Park as he nodded in Cesar Azpilicueta’s cross.

Costa has been in fine form for Chelsea since Antonio Conte’s appointment as the Blues’ new manager back in the summer.

The forward has netted a staggering 13 goals in the Premier League to help Chelsea establish themselves as the firm favourites to win the title this season.

And former Chelsea defender Cole was very impressed by what he saw from Costa at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon.

Speaking during Sky Sports‘ coverage of the game, Cole said: “He was good. He worked hard.

“He is always the focal point of this Chelsea team. He is always hustling and bustling.”
