Ian Wright states prediction for Bournemouth v Liverpool
The Arsenal legend is backing Liverpool to make it successive Premier League victories on Sunday
Ian Wright says he can’t see past a comfortable Liverpool victory over Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds haven’t lost a Premier League game since a 2-0 defeat by promoted side Burnley at Turf Moor in their second game of the 2016-17 season.
Liverpool came up against a resolute Sunderland side at Anfield last weekend but Jurgen Klopp’s side managed grind down the Black Cats’ defence thanks to goals from Divock Origi and James Milner in the final 15 minutes to seal a 2-0 win.
Bournemouth, on the other hand, produced a good performance at the Emirates Stadium despite Eddie Howe’s side losing 3-1 to Liverpool’s title rivals Arsenal after goals from Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott.
However, former Arsenal striker Wright believes Liverpool will manage to find a way past the Cherries even if Howe’s men manage to frustrate the Premier League title contenders on the south coast.
“Bournemouth are resolute but Sunderland were resolute against Liverpool. Slowly the quality came through. I’m going with Liverpool to win,” Wright told The Sun Goals podcast.
