Paul Ince states prediction for Bournemouth v Liverpool
The Manchester United legend is backing Roberto Firmino to fire Liverpool to victory over Bournemouth
Paul Ince is tipping Roberto Firmino to get on the score sheet in a Liverpool victory over Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds will return to Premier League action at the Vitality Stadium after the Merseyside outfit were 2-0 winners against Sunderland at Anfield last weekend.
Divock Origi and James Milner scored in the final 15 minutes of the Premier League clash to seal three points despite Philippe Coutinho’s serious ankle injury.
Liverpool are the Premier League’s leading goal-scorers after a return of 32 goals in 13 games in the current campaign.
Former Manchester United midfielder Ince believes Firmino can step up to the mark in the absence of his compatriot and help Liverpool secure three points against Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.
“There will be plenty of goals in this and I’ll be fully disappointed if there isn’t! You can take your pick from scorers here, and I would go for Coutinho usually,” Ince told Paddy Power’s blog.
“It’s a real shame he picked up an injury. There will be a bagful of goals in this, and Firmino will get at least one of them.”
Liverpool haven’t lost a Premier League game since a 2-0 defeat by promoted side Burnley in their second fixture of the 2016-17 season.
The Reds were 2-0 winners against Championship side Leeds United on Tuesday night to book their place in the EFL Cup semi-final.
