Cesar Azpilicueta sends blunt message to Chelsea fans ahead of Bournemouth test

Cesar Azpilicueta is confident that Chelsea can cope in the absence of N'Golo Kante and Diego Costa on Boxing Day

Cesar Azpilicueta has told Chelsea fans that the Blues are oozing confidence after their superb run in the Premier League.

The Spanish defender has been one of the Blues’ standout performers this season and has earned plenty of praise for his performances for the west London side.

Chelsea are currently flying high and six points clear at the top of the Premier League table after winning their last 11 games in the top flight.

Their brilliant winning run has seen them installed as the favourites to win the title this season, with the Blues currently leading the way heading into the hectic festive period.

Chelsea are set to be without both Diego Costa and N’Golo Kante for their home clash against Bournemouth on Boxing Day at Stamford Bridge.

However, defender Azpilicueta is confident that Antonio Conte’s men will be able to cope in their absences.

Speaking in an interview with Chelsea’s website, Azpilicueta said: “Both of them are very important for us but we have a good squad and hopefully the players who play the next game will do a good job and we can keep on winning, that’s the aim of the group.
