Chelsea legend: Harry Kane is the man at Tottenham
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink talks up Harry Kane's influence at Tottenham
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has hailed Harry Kane’s influence at Tottenham Hotspur.
The England international has made a seamless return to Premier League action after Kane scored on his return from an ankle problem in Tottenham’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal in the north London derby at the Emirates Stadium last November.
The 23-year-old centre-half has netted six times in five games since his recovering from his injury to reignite Tottenham’s top-four challenge after notching up successive Premier League victories.
Kane has scored three times in his last three top-flight games as Mauricio Pochettino’s side eased to victories over West Ham United and Swansea City at White Hart Lane.
Former Chelsea striker Hasselbaink talked up Kane’s influence on the Tottenham side ahead of their trip to Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.
“”He is making it look very easy. He likes to be the man. He is the man. Spurs trust him. Spurs know if they make chances for him, he will put them away. He makes it look very easy at times,” Hasselbaink told Sky Sports News HQ.
Kane netted 25 times in 37 Premier League games last season to finish as the division’s leading goal-scorer.
The Tottenham star signed a new long-term contract with the Lilywhites last month to keep him at the club until 2022.
