Chelsea look to target Ligue 1 star with Oscar funds – report

Chelsea are lining up a move to Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, according to reports in the media

Chelsea are hoping to sign Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko with the funds raised by Oscar’s proposed move to China, according to reports in the British media.

The Times are reporting that Chelsea want to sign the Ligue 1 sensation in a proposed £40m deal in the January transfer window.

The same article states that Antonio Conte will used the funds raised from Oscar’s expected move to China to land the France international next month.

According to the report, Manchester United, Stoke City and West Brom were all interested in the 22-year-old in the summer but a move failed to materialise.

Cesc Fabregas has deputised for Nemanja Matic in recent weeks following the Serbia international’s injury setback.

Chelsea have made an impressive start to the 2016-17 Premier League season after notching up 11 successive victories since September.
