Chelsea have already had a £21m bid for midfielder Franck Kessie rejected by Atalanta, according to reports in the British media.
The Guardian is reporting that the Blues have already made a bid for the midfielder as Antonio Conte looks to get Chelsea’s January transfer business moving.
The same article states that the Serie A side have turned down the offer because the Ivory Coast international is valued at £34m by his club.
Kessie has been in fine form for Atalanta this season and has scored six goals in 16 appearances.
There is bound to be plenty of speculation linking Chelsea with a host of players as the January transfer window draws ever nearer.
Conte is likely to want to bolster his Blues squad with a view to sustaining their Premier League title challenge.
The west London side are currently flying high at the top of the table and six points ahead of second-placed Liverpool.
