Chelsea star Willian reveals extra training at Cobham
Willian says he stays behind after Chelsea training to practice his free-kicks every day
Willian has revealed that he stays behind after every training session with Chelsea to practice his free-kicks.
The Brazilian has earned a reputation as one of the Premier League’s top attacking talents since his arrival at Chelsea and has been a regular fixture in the Blues side this season.
Willian has made 13 Premier League appearances for Antonio Conte’s men so far this season and has scored three goals and made one assist in the top flight.
The 28-year-old was widely regarded as one of Chelsea’s best players last season in what was otherwise a campaign to forget for the west London club.
And the attacker has revealed how he has been putting in the extra yards in training to improve his free-kick technique and accuracy.
Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports, Willian said: “After training I hit 10 balls every day.
“I have to do it every day in order to be confident on the pitch. These free-kicks can decide the game.
“Sometimes you only have once chance and you need to be confident. I want to score more.”
Willian will be hoping to feature for Chelsea when the Blues take on Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day.
