Ian Wright states prediction for Chelsea v West Brom

The Arsenal legend is backing Chelsea to ease to victory over West Brom in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon

Ian Wright is backing Chelsea to ease to victory over West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues are the Premier League’s in-form team after the west London side were emphatic 3-1 winners against title rivals Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium last weekend.

Chelsea moved three points clear of the closest rivals Arsenal thanks to goals from Diego Costa, Willian and Eden Hazard in the second half of the clash at Eastlands.

Blues boss Antonio Conte scooped the manager of the month award for November thanks to Chelsea’s impressive form, while Spain international Diego Costa was named the Premier League’s best player last month following his incredible goal-scoring form.

Former Arsenal striker Wright can’t see past a comfortable home side win at Stamford Bridge ahead of the visit of Tony Pulis’ West Brom side in Sunday’s early kick-off in the Premier League.

“You have to [back Chelsea] especially coming after the Manchester City result last week,” Wright told The Sun Goals podcast.

“Chelsea are a better team than Manchester City at the moment. They’re more comfortable with their system and the players are playing with an amazing amount of confidence. They’re beating all comers.”
