Danny Murphy: Chelsea will win the Premier League title if this happens

The former Liverpool midfielder explains why Chelsea are title favourites

Danny Murphy believes Chelsea will win the Premier League title this season if Antonio Conte can keep his key players fit.

The Blues notched up an 11th successive Premier League win on Saturday evening thanks to a 1-0 victory at Crystal Palace in the London derby at Selhurst Park.

The west London side eased to three points thanks to Diego Costa’s first-half header to take his tally to 13 for the current campaign.

Eden Hazard impressed against the Eagles despite failing to add to his eight goals and one assist in the 2016-17 Premier League season.

Chelsea haven’t lost a Premier League fixture since a 3-0 loss to title rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in September.

Speaking to BBC One’s Match Of The Day on Saturday night, former Chelsea midfielder Murphy explained why he is tipping the Blues to ease to the title.

“They’re favourites,” Murphy said.

“They’ve got two home games coming up you’d expect them to win [and] that would really give them a lead. If they keep everyone fit, they are favourites for me.”

Chelsea finished in tenth place in the Premier League table last term after a disappointing defence of their top-flight crown.
