Danny Murphy: Chelsea’s title rivals should be worried, Antonio Conte’s side have no weaknesses
The former Liverpool midfielder has a warning for Chelsea's title rivals
Danny Murphy doesn’t believe there are any weaknesses in the Chelsea side.
The Blues eased to an 11th successive Premier League victory on Saturday afternoon thanks to a 1-0 win against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Diego Costa scored a first-half winner in south east London to take his tally to 13 goals in the Premier League this season.
Chelsea haven’t lost a Premier League fixture since a 3-0 defeat by title rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in September.
Antonio Conte’s side have underlined their status as genuine Premier League title contenders thanks to victories over their close rivals Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Speaking to BBC One’s Match of the Day show, former Liverpool and Tottenham midfielder Murphy had a warning for Chelsea’s title rivals after their 11th successive Premier League win.
“Chelsea were defensively sound and solid,” Murphy said.
“They didn’t play brilliantly going forward but did enough. It was another great goal from Diego Costa. There doesn’t seem to be a weakness in the side.
“I can’t see one area in their team where they’re struggling at the moment which is fantastic for Chelsea supporters and worrying for everyone else.”
Chelsea finished in tenth place in the Premier League table last season after a disappointing defence of their top-flight crown under Jose Mourinho and his interim successor Guus Hiddink.
