Eden Hazard is the best in the country, Chelsea are lucky to have him – pundit

Jamie Redknapp lavishes praise on Eden Hazard following his sparkling form for Chelsea this season

Jamie Redknapp believes that Eden Hazard is the best player in the Premier League at the moment following his upturn in form for Chelsea.

The Belgian playmaker, like many of his Chelsea team-mates, came under intense scrutiny for failing to produce consistent performances for the west London club last season.

It was a season to forget for the Blues, who finished in 10th place and without a trophy following the sacking of Jose Mourinho in December of last year.

However, Hazard looks like a man reborn this season and his fine form has helped Chelsea to top the Premier League table over Christmas following the appointment of Jose Mourinho.

And former Liverpool midfielder Redknapp feels that Hazard is Chelsea’s most important player heading into the hectic festive period in the Premier League.

Speaking to The Daily Mail, Redknapp said: “Eden Hazard is the best player in the Premier League.

“He decides football matches and is back to the form of two years ago.

“He is fit again, hungry again and is making and scoring goals. If you could sign any Premier League player, Hazard is who you would want.”
