Eden Hazard names the one player Chelsea must stop against Man City

Eden Hazard warns Chelsea that they must keep Kevin De Bruyne quiet for Manchester City on Saturday

Eden Hazard has admitted that Chelsea will have to be at their best to keep Kevin De Bruyne quiet when the Blues take on Manchester City this weekend.

The west London side head into the crunch clash against Pep Guardiola’s men having retained their place at the top of the Premier League table thanks to their 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge last weekend.

Chelsea are flying high at the top of the table and one point clear of second-placed Liverpool after seven straight wins in the top flight for Antonio Conte’s men.

Hazard is set to come up against a familiar face in the shape of De Bruyne on Saturday lunchtime.

The pair are team-mates for the Belgium national team, and De Bruyne was deemed to be surplus to requirements at Chelsea before his eventual move to Manchester City.

And Hazard admits that he and his team-mates will have to work hard to keep De Bruyne quiet this weekend.

Hazard is quoted as saying by Metro: “He’s a top player. He didn’t get his chance here at Chelsea but did very well in Germany and, since he went to City, he’s been on fire.

“Sometimes you don’t get the chance to play, or the system the manager uses isn’t right for you, but now he’s full of confidence. I hope next week he’ll have less confidence!

“It’s good for Belgium that two players are fighting for the title in England but I hope when we go to the national team we don’t fight! We’re good friends.”
