Eden Hazard reacts to Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Man City
Eden Hazard has his say on Chelsea's 3-1 comeback win over Manchester City at The Etihad
Eden Hazard could not hide his delight at playing a major part in Chelsea’s 3-1 victory over Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday lunchtime.
The Blues fell behind in the first half at the Etihad Stadium after Gary Cahill scored an own-goal just before half-time.
However, the west London side battled back after the break and Diego Costa levelled the score with a low shot from Cesc Fabregas’ lofted pass.
Substitute Willian then made it 2-1 with a confident finish, before Hazard wrapped up the win with a goal in stoppage time.
The victory was Chelsea’s eighth win on the spin in the Premier League and kept them at the top of the table.
And Hazard admitted his delight at helping the Blues continue their fine form in the top flight.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Hazard said: “It is a good game for us, we did well.
“We played well to come here and at half-time at 1-0, it’s not easy to win the game. But we did very well.
“The guys gave everything and this was the key.”
Chelsea are currently four points clear of second-placed Liverpool after 14 games of the new season.
