Eden Hazard reacts to Diego Costa’s display in Man City v Chelsea
Eden Hazard praises Diego Costa for his impressive display in Chelsea's 3-1 win at Manchester City on Saturday
Eden Hazard lavished praise on Diego Costa for his sparkling display in Chelsea’s 3-1 win at Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
The Spanish striker was in fine form once again as he scored in the second half to help the Blues on their way to victory over the Citizens.
Chelsea fell behind in the first half through Gary Cahill’s own goal.
However, the Blues fought back and levelled shortly after half-time when Costa controlled Cesc Fabregas’ long pass and fired home.
Costa then turned provider for the second goal, when he slotted Willian through, before the Brazilian fired home.
And Eden Hazard then made the points secure in stoppage time when he fired home to wrap up the win.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Belgium international Hazard said: “I think this is the big change. Before he [Costa] was scoring a lot but sometimes got a yellow or red card.
“Today he scored and made an assist. He’s on fire since the start of the season. I want it to continue.
“[We’ve won] eight in a row – not every year you can do this. To win here after being behind at half-time is very good.
“We showed great character against Tottenham, today again.”
