Eden Hazard reacts to Man City comeback: This was typical Chelsea
Eden Hazard believes Chelsea's counter-attacking display was "typical" of the Blues
Eden Hazard believes that Chelsea’s counter-attacking performance against Manchester City on Sunday was “typical” of the Blues.
The west London side secured an impressive 3-1 victory against the Citizens after coming from a goal down and scoring three second-half goals at The Etihad.
Goals from Diego Costa, Willian and Hazard completed the comeback for Antonio Conte’s men in the second half and kept Chelsea flying high at the top of the Premier League table.
Chelsea have been in sensational form over the last few weeks, with the west London club now having won their last eight games in the Premier League to leave them three points clear at the top.
And Hazard feels that their counter-attacking style is typical to how the Blues have set up in recent seasons.
Hazard is quoted as saying by The Daily Express: “It was an important win because City are a competitor for the title. We went there to win. We have done that, so we are content.
“We were good on the counter attack. That’s typical Chelsea. In games in which it is close, we can play on the counter, as we have the players to do that.”
Chelsea return to Premier League action this weekend when they take on West Bromwich Albion at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
