Eden Hazard’s latest comments are sure to please Chelsea fans
Eden Hazard appears to indicate that he is very happy at Chelsea after the Blues' strong start to the season
Eden Hazard has spoken about his pride at playing for Chelsea as he appeared to indicate that his long-term future is at the west London club.
The Belgian playmaker has been in fine form for Chelsea this term after, like many of his team-mates, struggling to produce consistent displays for the Blues last term.
Chelsea ended up 10th in the Premier League table and with their title defence in tatters after a season to forget for the west London side.
However, Hazard seems to be rediscovering the kind of form which earned him the PFA player of the year award in 2015 as Chelsea won the Premier League and League Cup under Jose Mourinho.
The Belgian has scored nine goals and made one assist in 17 Premier League games for the Blues so far this season to help them build a lead at the top of the table.
Hazard scored his 50th Premier League goal for Chelsea in the Blues’ 3-0 win over Bournemouth in the top flight on Boxing Day.
And the 25-year-old has stressed that he is happy at Stamford Bridge following the Blues’ strong start to the new campaign.
“It is very good to be in this list for such a club. I am happy to be in this club and I want to reach a lot of things so let’s go for it,” Hazard told Chelsea’s website.
“There are still over four months to play [in this season] but of course we want to be there. We want to win trophies. Last season was difficult and we want to do better.”
