Michael Owen states his prediction for Everton v Arsenal

Michael Owen looks ahead to Everton's clash with Arsenal at Goodison Park on Tuesday night

Michael Owen believes that Everton should not be written off ahead of their clash with Arsenal at Goodison Park on Tuesday night.

Arsenal head into the game in good form after having beaten Stoke City 3-1 at The Emirates on Saturday afternoon to keep pace with Chelsea at the top of the Premier League table

The Gunners are currently three points behind the leaders after 15 games of the new campaign and head into Tuesday’s clash on Merseyside knowing that a win over the Toffees would move them top of the Premier League table ahead of Chelsea’s game on Wednesday night.

However, former Liverpool striker Owen is refusing the wright off Everton’s chances against Arsenal in a game where he is expecting to see plenty of goals.

Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “The Blues have only won one of their last eighteen against Arsenal and the Gunners are looking for a 12th win in the Premier League at Goodison Park.

“Everton will have to defend better than they did at Vicarage Road to stand any chance against a rampant Arsenal, but I wouldn’t write off the hosts in another game where I expect to see goals.”
