Jose Mourinho states his prediction for Everton v Man United

Jose Mourinho looks ahead to Manchester United's trip to Everton in the Premier League on Sunday

Jose Mourinho has warned his Manchester United side that they are in for a stern test when they take on Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils head into the game looking to bounce back to winning ways in the Premier League after their 1-1 draw with West Ham at Old Trafford last weekend.

It has been something of a stuttering start to life for United under new manager Mourinho, with the Red Devils struggling to piece together a strong run of form in the top flight.

Indeed, Mourinho’s men have only won two of their last seven Premier League games to leave them well off the pace in the race for the title.

And Mourinho is well aware of the threat posed by the Toffees at Goodison Park this weekend.

Speaking to United’s website ahead of the game, Mourinho said: “I managed against Martinez’s Everton, Moyes’ Everton and it is always difficult.

“It is always beautiful with a great crowd and a great stadium which is historical for my country as Eusebio scored four goals in one match there during the World Cup in ’66.

“I had so many great matches there. Some I lost, some I won, but always a great match.

“The way United is playing, combined with the way Everton always try to play means it should be a very good match.”
